'House' shot on a Canon 5DMkII

A Canon 5D MkII DSLR has been used to film the season finale of the FOX hit medical drama 'House' making it the first time a DSLR has been used to film primetime broadcast TV. Director Greg Yaitanes is quoted as saying that he chose the 5D because of the shallow depth of field and "richer look" which was achieved using a selection of Canon prime lenses as well as the popular 24-70mm and 70-200mm zooms.
