New gear........

Pre-PMA and it's that time of the year when a ton of new cameras and lenses are announced so here's a few from the big guns to start the ball rolling . . .

Canon
As well as the announcement of the EOS 550D dlsr, Canon have a new selection of compacts including the PowerShot SX210 IS with impressive 14x Optical Zoom, 14.0 Megapixels and High Definition Movie Recording. The next generation of IXUS cameras are also on thh horizon with the IXUS 210 IS Touch, the slimmest IXUS ever, the IXUS 130 IS at only 17.8mm thick and finally the IXUS 105 IS with 28mm wide lens.

Nikon
Nikon have announced two new lenses for full frame sensor cameras. Firstly the AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm f4G ED VR is the worlds first image stabilized wide-angle zoom and boasts Nano Crystal coating, a Magnesium alloy barrel and weather sealing. The second release, the 24mm f1.4G ED is a fast wideangle prime featuring a silent wave motor for quiet autofocus operation, Nano Crystal coating and weather resistant body.
